Have you ever visited Bulgaria? This international couple went once and fell in love with the country and its rich cultural heritage and food. A year later we planned their destination wedding where the guests represented three nationalities – Spain, Netherlands and France. Civil ceremony in the woods above Sofia – the country’s capital, religious ceremony in an ancient church downtown, and reception and party in a famous traditional Bulgarian restaurant just twenty minutes drive outside the city glamour. From handmade direction signs and guest favors through elegant outfits and snack in a bar during the professional photo shoot, to fireworks and “nestinari” dancing on a burning coal, this wedding surely had it all.
